Intellectual property rights are the rights given to persons for the creations of their minds, such as inventions, literacy and artistic works, designs, symbols, names, and images used in business. Intellectual property consists of two major kinds, namely industrial property and copyright. Industrial property includes inventions, trademarks, industrial designs and geographical indications. Copyright covers literary works (such as novels, poems and plays), films, music, artistic works (e.g., drawings, paintings, photographs and sculptures) and architectural design.

Specifically, the intellectual property right is composed of the following:

  4. Trade name
  5. Trade secret
  6. Geographic indications, GIs
  7. Patent
  8. Layout design
  9. Plant variety
  10. Anti-unfair competition
